Runway fashion is all about contemporary models walking in perfectly fitted clothes and high heels, while the renowned members of the social elite class appreciate them. However, this year the New York fashion week is going to change this perception as they introduce the first ever fashion show for mothers. New York Fashion Week or Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will invite women with children into their front row seats in their upcoming fashion fiesta. This show will be conducted during the last day of the fashion week, but it will also be the beginning of a revolutionary concept to fashion weeks.

The whole idea is to get women with children into their own element and feel at ease being at a fashion show with their children. The Fashionable Mom Show aims to help moms assemble stylish and affordable looks using clothing currently in stores. Real moms will even get an opportunity to walk the ramp in the show, with a little help from their celebrity counterparts. The show will be called “Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show” and strength behind the marketing platform is from a social media company called Mom-entum, which is a women’s focused marketing subsidiary company of house brand Big Fuel. The Mom-entum has invited over 200 women with their children to celebrate fashion.

The event will showcase designers like Ramy Brook, Pea in the Pod, and Shosanna. It will also feature celebrity model moms and soon to be, moms like Jourdan Dunn. The show will be live-streamed from Lincoln Centre on Feb. 16. So get set to watch the momentous fashion event where you will see some beautiful mothers instead of skinny models
